Been e-mailing a guy off eBay who's breaking a Cupra. He won't sell the turbo without the engine, OR the rear brakes without the entire rear axle.
Why are some people so difficult :undecided:
-
cos sometimes they don't want bits of parts left hanging around
-
Who's ever going to want rear brakes AND the axle though?

never know - not sure but it could actaully be quicker to drop the entire axle and swap them over rather than remove the brakes on each side :undecided:
or you may have hit a kerb and bent the rear axle and need a replacement
-
True, I just can't realistically see someone wanting both at the same time to be honest. Positive he'd get more selling them separately.

i'm just playing devils advocate mate - tbh i'd probably feel the same way as you lol! surely a guaranteed sale of something is better than waiting ages for someone else to buy the whole lot!!
look for Octavia VRS (mark1) - tend to be cheaper
-
Indeed. I'm gonna wait and see how much he puts the brakes and axle on for. That's the other thing, he refused to sell to without putting it up for auction.
-
Any idea what date range the mk1's were for the Octavia?

most likely the same as the MKIV................
if you want the Octavia VRS you're looking from 2000 onwards to 2003

people like me or ashmond who do conversions may want it all but he is more likely to sell the brakes seperate like you said , bur i can understand why he wouldnt want to remove the turbo as people would want complete engine
