Disconnecting Alarm Siren

Is it possible to disconnect the alarm siren and just have the lights flash if the alarm is triggered?

Also where is the siren located?

I've read somewhere I have to remove the wipers and the plastic bit to get to it.

Is there any other way?

And does it just plug out? I'd like to be able to reconnect it again once my bootlid is fixed and don't want to have to cut wires etc.

yes you do need to remove the wipers and plastic be very carefull with the plastic cover as very easy to break it as it's so tight
