I have a problem, and was wondering if anyone knows the answer. The vento lights have just one bulb that is for full and dipped beam, where as the mk3 lights have 2 seperate bulbs. How am i to fit the vento lights to my mk3 wiring? I have looked around for a guide as its obviously possible as its been done 100 times, but cant find one on ed38 or club gti, or here.
Ideas? Help?
Cheers
Mike

golf and vento lights come with 2 types of connectors (one oval and one sqare)...if your lucky they will match directly up and if not go the the scrap yard and get a matching one and replace that part of the loom

Im unlucky as they dont match. So would it be correct that later golfs and ventos came with round ones. As my 97gti has a round plug.
And that these vento lights were off an early vento?
Hmmm, will have to find a replacement from a scrap yard.
Cheers for the info.

you have 2 choices..either buy the early vento plug/loom and cut into your loom or steal a round vento block from some other lights
I don't think it matters on year? I belive it can vary!! but i would look at a std golf first

yeah, i think i will just look under some bonnets until i find either the round block, or a square wired harness.
Got a few weeks, as i still need a bumper, before i can send the badgless grill, bonnet and bumper + wing in to be sprayed up.
Best start hunting me thinks
