Title: Strange revs. (sometimes)
Post by: Rodriguez on 21 January 2009, 10:28
Very occasionally my engine revs will slow start to rise by itself (to about 2K) when at idle.   I've had a search about on here and keep seeing either vacuum leaks or ISV problems.  Is this relevant to me??   I'm not sure because it happens so infrequently and, besides that, the car runs and idles fine.

I await your collective intelligence peeps.

ok cool,m I'd check the throttle shuts to the stop fully, and that the idle switch clicks when this happenes.  Also check the wires behinf the throttle body haven't snapped :)

Try claning out your throttle body with a blast of carb cleaner and a cloth.
