Title: Service Reminder

My car is not due a service for another 10,000 miles (or 03/2010).  Can I reset the service reminder myself or do I have to take it to VW?

If its not due a service for another 10k how comes the service now light has come on?

You can do it yourself. For your benifit of finding the answear faster always try google as it is your friend and has many snawears, found this in 30 seconds - http://wiki.answers.com/Q/How_do_I_reset_the_service_interval_on_a_Golf_GTI_Mk_5

Do you know what, after typing I saw that error but just couldn't be arsed to press edit and change it lol. Then you go and pull me up on it.
