I have looked into this and it seems like vr6 clutch and g60 flywheel is the most common setup for a 1.8t
is it possible to use the entire setup from a g60 - g60 gearbox, flywheel and clutch. straight from a g60? The g60 gearbox is a 02a i think, so that should be good. Not sure how much power the g60 flywheel clutch setup can take...........
any help and other info about this subject is much appreciated.
cheers,
LL ;)

the g60 setup you mention is perfect. g60 gearboxes have nice gearing for the 1.8t and will cope with 300bhp no problem IF in good condition. the g60 clutch is good for a safe 200bhp but its alot better to swap the g60 clutch for a corrado vr6 clutch as its identical to the g60 but has a higher clamping force.
a good setup:
-g60 gearbox
-g60 flywheel
-vr6 clutch
hope that helps.

and then a sachs vr6 clutch - £??? best place to get this?
i have heard that you can get vr6 clutch/g60 flywheel, i have seen these around for £250, but cant remember where lol! cheapest place/website?

ratios are kinda short on G60 boxes, i like them like that.. others dont and use a mk3 tdi box, but like danny says for price and availability the 16v o2a box can't be beat.

cheers m8, good info there. sounds like a g60 box will suit me more, short ratios ftw.
