Title: g60 hubs on a mark one
Post by: kiegti on 23 June 2004, 09:07
:) got hold of some g60 hubs and all from a pal.

while fittting I found the suspension strut bracket to be too narrow to take the upper fixing on the hub.  >:(

does anyone know if the suspension strut bottom ends need to be changed as part of the conversion or  do I need to modify them ?

would any mark 2 strut do it? are they the same length ?  ::)

I got news from awsome that the hubs can't be fitted as the steering dynamics change.  ???

looking at the hubs the discs, cailper and cailper bracket may do the job, gonna try on the standard hubs, I'll let you know.

The calliper carriers will not bolt to the mk1 hub as the bolt pattern is different, looks like it will need a adaptor to make them fit (and 15 inch wheels). Will spend some time this weekend on it and see what I can come up with :-\. Also have a Passat servo and 22mm master cylinder to fit.
