Has anybody renewed their fuel line recently? I havea Mk1 Golf GTI and the area around the fuel pump and accumulator is really rusty. I know that some of the parts are obsolete and need making up but has anyone found a place that does them on request?
I am base in Preston , Lancs but would be prepared to travel.
Ta. ???

General opinion seems to be to buy the bits from someone like Automec - www.automec.co.uk
Other than that I dont think you'll find someone other than independant guys who may make them up for you but shouldn't be too difficult if you buy the right bits.
Hope this helps
Cheers

Has anyone ever considered or tried using the plastic pipes from the mk2? I've scrapped two mk2's recently and have made a point of keeping the plastic fuel lines, in case that fateful day arrives that I need to do the ones on my cab.

Right, having done a bit of homework on the subject GSF do the pipes from the fuel pump to the accumulator and a company called Automec 01280 822818 do the fuel pipes with the end fitting already in place. I will be purchasing the kit soon!!
