When I picked up my ED30 I am sure that I re-set the delivery miles to 0 as long as the car has done less than 50 miles - am I correct or was I daydreaming it?
-
not sure, but when my dad got his ferrari they told him that theyd re-set the clock when it got to 2000 miles  :undecided:
-
you used to be able to do this on MK4 golfs i think vw removed the function because of the legal system about resetting the milage counter.

my thoughts exactly, as the car has actually covered this mileage and if reset it would be a misrepresentation of the actual mileage! i myself have not heard of this before but it does seem odd! :undecided:
-
I would reset it every 49 miles and have a 10 mile ed30 in a few years £££££
-
I seem to recall that the dealer could reset it once if the milage was <100 miles.
-
I forget the milage limit, but yes this definately was done...don't know if it still is.
When I bought my R32 in Dec 05 it had a handful of miles on it in the showroom. On the day of collection it had been reset to zero. The only clue was the trip computer still showed it had covered a few miles since being built.

My Bugatti Veyron allowed me to reset the mileage up to the first 100 miles once only.....

Ahhh, the joys of Haldex. If only the Veyron had Torsen!

You can reset the clock...
But the second you plug it into VAG it still tells you the full mileage....
So unless you are selling the car to a complete twit... Dont bother.
