When i brought my car from a VW Garage , i said to them is it going to be serviced before handover , yes they said.....
I only brought the car in November last year and have done about 2000 miles, today when i got in the car it pinged up and said 800 miles until next Service!!!
I looked in the Service Log Book , and it was stamped 'Used Car Inspection' , now to me this doesn't actualy clarify as a service, in fact i don't know what it means.
Have i got cause to go back to the garage where i got the car from and kick up a Stink ?? , the car has only done just over 16K so am guessing it would be it's 1st service.
Thanks

Sounds like they didn't service the car so go back and complain.

Ah...the old "Yes sir, it will be serviced before you collect it" chestnut......then when the Sales Donkey took it to the Service Monkey,...the conversation went along the lines of..."This car is not due a service man, what are you thinking about!" ..."just mark up the book as a used car inspection, that will keep the customer off our back...."
First time I have heard of the used car inspection taking place of a valid service.
Note to all...If you are getting the car serviced as part of the sales deal...try to get it in writing, slippery slimey creatures in Stealerships beware..
(can you tell I am not in a good mood....see my sidewall damage thread for an explanation).
