Title: Polishing small areas
Post by: stealthwolf on 19 January 2009, 19:48
Okay, in a few weeks, I'll be doing a full detail of the car. This time, I'm polishing it too.

Big problem is (apart from the fact that I've never machine-polished, and got tired of hand polishing after five minutes),

how do I attack the small areas?

Things like the boot lip, the wing mirror, spoiler etc?

All I have at the mo is the G220 + 6" backing plate plus some 6" pads (cutting, polishing and finishing).

I would advise getting the spot pads mate, i thought you dont need them but wouldn't live without them now!

Before

After

I will also use them for wings, spoilers etc if i can get a good coverage and have a lot of paint to play with
