Title: Immobiliser active
Post by: EsSeX dAn on 18 January 2009, 14:17
Hi all, im currently building a mk2 1.8t using the entire front end of the mk4 loom mated to the back of the mk2 loom.the looms are installed but i have removed the airbag main brain bit and now the immobiliser cuts in when i put the key in and turn it.it even comes up on the dash display bit 'immobiliser active' and there is a orange symbol on a car with a key underneath it flashes. anyone got any ideas?help appreciated.

lol my mate Dave has the same problem

he has swapped

ECU
Clocks
Ignition switch

only thing left is the barrel itself but we can't remove it   apparently there is an aerial clipped around the barrel but we can't remove it  :undecided:

i premume you have the keys and ignition switch for your conversion?
