Title: Oil Sensor light

Advice please, when i first start the car it flashes up with OIL SENSOR warning ....... :rolleyes:

put some oil in check sensor mate

Why do you say that mate? I'm trying to solve this issue on a lcr at the moment,and any advise would be welcome.

plenty of oil checked this would it be a faulty sensor

The 1.8 T can suffer with a blocked oil pick up in the sump usually  if the wrong oil has been used or it has not been serviced properly in the past.

Can cause the oil warning.

Dont drive it get it checked out ASAP if it is this your engine is being starved of oil!

Im sure you know about this anyway patch? Just a thought  :undecided:

guys its not my 1.8t its my mates 2ltr gti x 2001 changed the oil its on the mark but this light is on

disconnect the battery for 5 mins then re-check the light should go out.
