Title: 1.3 Ryder electronic ignition conversion
Post by: tnewson on 17 January 2009, 20:40
Hello there,

I am new to the forum and have only owned my golf for 1 day :). I had a mini which i converted to electronic ignition and it made such a difference.

I am just wondering what the best way to go about converting my ryder?

Is it possible to buy a dizzy from a GTI and whack it straight on or what?

any help is much apprechiated!

Tom

I havent looked under the cap but im pretty sure it has points as there is an ignition advance and a condenser on the outside of the distributor.

Its a 1985 mk2 ryder 1.3
