Title: Interior styling and boot lock
Post by: maxp on 16 January 2009, 19:45
I have the rainbow stripe seats but the door cards look like this: (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v498/zarnd/PICT0551.jpg)
They dont seem to quite match in style in my mind. Not knowing any other golf gti owners im wondering if these seats (+ bench) been swapped at some point?

Also my key doesnt fit in the boot lock although the button mechanism moves in fine, did mk2's have a seperate boot lock key or is the lock just buggered?

^^^ what he said - also, about your boot lock - mine takes a different key to the door locks - having said that Andy's key also fits my boot!!!

It is a 8v digi on a j plate. Pretty funny there is no definitive answer on the boot locks!

It should all be 1 key as any other car. It's probably been broken into or attempted break-ins so the locks have been changed along with the key.  nawt to worry about if you have all the keys and know which goes to which lock
