Title: New Dub in the family!
Post by: Golfer on 21 June 2004, 12:09
We have a new dub in the family, not a Golf, but a Polo.

We decided to replace the missus' Peugeot 306 this weekend ;D.  Having been so pleased with my dub, we opted for a Polo to keep it company.

We bought a "52" plate 3 door Polo in Jazz Blue.  10k miles and still with the balance of the VW warranty.

Here's hoping it's a goodun - should be though - it's 'as new'. ;)

Not wild about the colour myself :o, but it's not me who will be driving it.

I must say though, I was very impressed by it.   It's only a 65bhp 1.2 but the quality and refinement is amazing for a small car.

Comes loaded with every extra - 4 x airbags, ABS, PAS, Central Locking, Electric Windows, Electric Heated Mirrors and Climate Control.

We got it after a lot of haggling for ?6,770.   It was up for ?7,000.   From a VW Specialist in Croydon.

Quite pleased really.  Anything is better than the French pile of sh*te.

Good conversion mate. Nice set of alloys on her and she'll be fine!

Seems like a day for new purchases then - I've just bought a 6 month old Nissan X-trail 2.2 diesel sport (budget wouldnt stretch to a Toureg :'( ) and haggled loads and ended up paying ?600 less than the ticket and still got a free service and side steps thrown in!!

Ads "Haggler" B.  ;D
