Title: Newbie...looking for Mk4 1.8T
Post by: snowfiend on 16 January 2009, 00:21
Hi all,

Am new to VW's (currently own 2 jap cars, please don't hate me).

I'm thinking about/looking for a clean, <2002, Mk4 1.8T to use as my daily driver so will be having a good look about on here and reading up about them.

Would love a black one ideally but would possibly consider others...

Cheers

Hello mate - and welcome!

I'm currently trying to sell my 1999 1.8T so I can raise some money for when I go travelling later this year

It's in Silver tho - but is advertised in the classifieds section - take a peek.

I am looking for around 3k - but will take offers

PM me if you would like some photos or more info

Cheers

Am I not correct in thinking <2002 means before 2002?

And 2002> would mean 2002 onwards?!

>2002 would be after 2002

LOL...

The only reason I mentioned the pre 2002 thing is because they're cheaper on road tax (apparently) and my budget is upto about £3.5K....if I could get some change from that, then cool.

Matt - I cant send any PM's yet unfortunately, need to build up 10 posts first. But yeah I wouldn't mind having a look at some pics of yours.

This one caught my eye, what do you think ?

http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/846766.htm

Slightly higher mileage then I'd like as I do quite a bit of commuting so will rack up the miles very quickly.

Been trying to contact the chap all week but cant get through on the phone and he's not replied to my emails....
