Title: anni rims on.
Post by: nadlad on 15 January 2009, 08:55: Morning got ma wheels on just took a coupel of shots this morning on the way to walk.. i think they look pretty cool on the standard set up...

Quite pleased with results these are the gunmetal finish. The F1 tyres are quite nice havent given em a good ride yet, but it feels a stiffer drive then before...but not too bad

i was thinking of getting anni springs so it sits slightly lower but i think i ll leave em there about 80 plus vat each!

and the tyres were inflated to 32PSI, does anyone know if there is a special tool to tighten the centre cap or is it just meant to be hand tight...

ill look on ebay for the tightner do u know what the proper term for one is called i just put in anniverssary center cap tightner!, wud of been handy if they came with it :laugh:

so wheels n tyres were £965 suppose u cud take £270 off that though

Post by: nadlad on 15 January 2009, 19:16: yeah it was stiff before but now its proper stiff u feel everything but i like the stiff ride ..... my other cars a 05 avant s line and thats got 18s on it and that is proper stiff so there both about as stiff as each other now!!!

theres a roundabout which u can get pass at around 50 onto the first exit which am dyign to try out on saturday, we use that as a benchmark for seeing what a cars liek goign round a corner at a good speed!!!. eg my mates zr does it with a bit of rear end drag round it and mine on ma old tyres used to do it okish so i wanted to see the difference with these tyres on! hard to explain what am on about but if u ever coem off the a64 round about u wil know what i mean..

and i was thinking get anni springs to get it that 10-15 mm lower but there 80 plus vat so ill leave it liek it is i think it looks alright as it when i upgraded my 15 to 16s on my 100 se it looked liek a 4x4 but i think the 150 set up is already a tad lower then others.

Post by: nadlad on 16 January 2009, 12:18: my last golf was a 100 se and that was very soft so in comparison this is stiffer and i driven my mates 130 and the 150 feels slightly stiffer than that. probably just me though!

Cheaper to get some from motarmadmj - after you have paid for refurb on the ebay ones :wink:

because a decent refurb of Anni wheels will cost at least £200 so that plus £400 is more expensive than the one motormadmj provides and i doubt the finish will be anywhere near as good :smiley:
