As the poll says really. Whitegtidriver has asked me to put a poll up asking if you like his car cover or not.
Please give your reasons too
I for one like it as it has a carbon effect to the material.
Here are the pics.

sorry but i think they are completely pointless and fugly

-
I think they look nasty mate
-
Meh doesnt look any good, what does it actually do? prtect from stone chips? :undecided:
-
If all it does is protect from stone chips.. then you may as well park your car up and just look at it rather than drive it. Or just keep your distance
-
Terrible!!!!
-
Get some clear Armourguard or similar, i cant help byt think if any dirt or stone gets under one of these it will cause more damage than good! And it looks awful!
-
this is one of the better looking car bra's ive seen. If the car was black to match the bra, it would look even better.
-
not sure about the uni-brow look :undecided:
-
Disgusting, Iv never liked them. Just dont see the point.
Everyone to their own and all that.
-
What is it meant to do anyway?
-
Spend the money on the clear paint protection, much more useful and doesn't interupt the design of the car.
-
protect the bonnet from stone chips and stuff. I would imagine.

x2!

I hate the look of them. BUT they i had one on my polo when doing motorway miles to protect the bonnet. I mean after a full respray the last thing you want is stone chips
-
I've never understood these things, unless maybe you are driving to a car show where it is going on display and you want your motor to be protected whilst you get there.
It reminds me of my mate's mum who insisted on keeping the clear protective plastic wrap covers on her dining room chairs to stop them wearing!!
Really what is the point of trying to protect something nice looking if the protector makes the thing look nasty, and possibly feel nasty! Completely bizzare!
-
Don't like the brow thing but love the dirtiness of that car, just how a GTi should be!
-
exactly, plus i believe that the dirt adds another level of protection, especially from UV

 not for me
-
nah looks abit too 'sticky on' bet it cost a fair bit if its dun in CF though?!?
-
Not sure as I think the colour of the car isn't helping it blend in
I'd like to see one fitted on a darker car.
-
they dont look good but serve a purpose i guess!
Im glad ur "white" gti is as dirty as mine!
-
Not for me either
Also :
Long term use may result in some discoloration between the protected area and unprotected, especially on red paint.
Putting it on and taking it off could leave marks
If there is an edge to it, then dirt and grit can get trapped there, leading to marks on the paint along the edge
The only thing it can really protect you from is stone chips, as a properly washed / waxed car will be protection against dirt / insects etc.
-
Disgusting, totally ruins the look of the front!
-
They look absolutely hideous
-
Looks awful!!!!!!
Probably not helped by the physical state of the car either!
-
As a car Bras go its not bad. I like the CF finish to it.
However, not a big car bra fan, what happens to all the dust & grim that gets down the back and scratches the paint finish?
