Title: newbie
Post by: rab_mc on 14 January 2009, 21:14
well bought a wee mk3 golf gti 8v last week. Initially bought as a wee runaround till i saved up for a car in summer!

But more i drive i seem to like it more, its pretty much standard, good history and very clean! Only mods is the suspension and alloy wheels! Only thing i plan on changing is the alloy wheel plates, as they are seat ones! so got to change that to VW!

I also have 17" Golf alloys but havent yet tried them on and dont know which golf they are from and if they will fit, if not they will be for sale soon.

cheers for comments!!

i dont think il be changing the engine or anything, but i do reckon i will keep this car as a 2nd car once summer comes as i plan on getting an evo. More so for weekends so golf would be the daily driver when im at home and not away at work.

But think i will try these 17s on at weekend and see if they fit. Quite like the look of the clearer taillights you get, the red and crystal type ones, so possibly one to do. Looks wise i think she looks ok as is so wont be doing anything on that side but keeping it clean and shiney, so if i do sell the next owner will have a wee decent car!
