Long time no speak everyone.
Has anyone got any idea how much a new complete carpet would be as my wife spilt a full tub of double cream all over the passenger footwell and it now smells like someone has barfed up a lung in it !!!
Have tried a carpet shampoo vac, steamer, bi-carb, fabreeze etc......
AND IT STINKS
So just wondered how much a new one would be cos it's a bit cold to be drivin everywhere with your window down !!!
Cheers

i wouldn't want to guess how much it would cost but would imagine ££££
cheapest option would be to get one from a breakers, have you considered using a professional valet service eg a proper steam clean?
-
I asked a pro valeter mate and he said it would be impossible to get rid of the smell as it gets into the wadding and carpet fibres
-
what about getting a quote from an upholster to perhaps cut out a piece and refit a new piece :undecided:
surely a competant trimmer could make it look like it was new :undecided:
-
Teach you for getting kinky in the car mate
-
best bet IMO is to find a MK4 that's being broken and get the carpets from that, as buying them new is going to cost loads as i think the boot mat alone is £100 new, obviously you don't need a boot mat, but if you think about how big that is, and how much you'll need for the cabin.
-
yeah breakers yard is soundin the best bet i reckon.
And as for the kinky stuff i never do it in the car as i got a handbrake between the cheeks last time i tried it
