Title: buying my first mk5...need help choosing
Post by: quango2k on 13 January 2009, 23:55
i have a choice between an 04 2.0 FSI gt and a 2.0 TDI GT...really cant make my mind up.

any major pros/cons to either? i keep swaying toward the TDI but keep getting told they are expensive to service and the FSI is just as quick as my old mk4 gti..but i get put off because it has no turbo :S

decisions decisions!!

TDI would be more economical and perform better, if you wanted a little more you have the option to remap it also - the FSI your stuck really with what you get.

I'd have to agree with neg there. The TDI would be the better option out of the two. if you can't stretch to a GTI.

Spotted a GTI on Autotrader today for £9995  - 2006 reg with under 25k miles on the clock too!
