Title: How much my crashed gti worth?? pics!

I crashed my 97 golf GTI 8v.  Twin Airbag, AC, and colour concept wheels, apart from that standard throughout.  It has 101k and is FVWSH.  The aircon still works and it drives ok.  Just the normal radiator is leaking so will overheat if left running too long.

or is it a write off?

It was a write off as the insurance company didnt think it was cost efective to repair it.

Not worried too much as they paid me ?4500 after negotiations which is well above market value.

I bought the car back for ?700, and have been quoted ?350 for all the parts and ?500 to fit and spray.  Then just need windscreen but dont really have the cash to finance as I have just bought a house so thinking of just selling as is.

id strip and scrap it if i were you,

insurance company were good to you, 4.5k is a nice amount to be getting! :D

getting insurance write-offs back on the road isn't as easy as it used to be (i use to buy/repair/sell quite a lot) thanks to all the red tape involved now.
if it was my car i'd advertise it for ?1200 and bite the hand off anyone who offered ?1000 or more.
