Hi guys just lookin to see if any 1 has upgraded there brakes either r32 or brembo,Tarox?
Reason I ask I have the chance of getting a pair of Porsche 997 front calipers  from a mate at a reasonable price there in mint condition, pads are near enough new due to the donor vehicle only doing 300miles from lst service then ending up written off! The only thing I would need to get is new disc's either 345mm's or run the standard 312's
Toast

you'll need caliper carriers too, they won't bolt straight on
-
I have the R32 front set up which is great for my usage, porsche sounds good though might need a bigger m/cylinder though??
p.s if your mate has access to written of porsche what happened to the front seats??
-
Someone mention brake upgrades
I have TAROX 10 pots on mine and also saw Forges new 8 pots on the new Scirocco at the Autosport show this weekend

Failing that it could be R32 instead  Don't have any info on the porker as he bought the brakes from a mate threw the Vauxhall club he's putting the rears onto the front of his gsi v6 vectra

Thats a bargain I've been watchin fleebay but always seem to miss them Quite fancy the Idea of Porsche 1's.
A saw that post he put the same on Audi sport.net think its a service exchange?!

I looked at other options but in the end i opted for the R32's as i dont do trackdays but iam partial to 1/4 mile day so for that they have been good. The porsche ones would be good, i mind a guy fitted them to a mk4 once immence stopping power, or look out for S3 ones on the bay as well.
yeh it was an exch basis.need to phone star about an exhaust too

Am the same not really into ragging my car round a track its bad enough spectating the track days at knockhill   That said my mates had the s3 round it.
Think a was 450 for the catback at star He'l tell you not to bother with the downpipe and cat as I asked him again yesterday about it but got told the standard 1 is more than adequate :undecided:
-
Aye i got the same the last time lol. But i do think its holding my car back I have been in cars with almost the same mods as mine with the exception of the zorst and they are quicker, plus I am worried about frying the oem one with the uprated fuel pump the cat might be taking a battering with all this power.

Hi Toast,
Got the TD's a few months ago and I'm pleased with them so far. I'm still trying to make my mind up on some show wheels though :undecided:
