Title: golf 1.8 t gti remap

is it possible to remap my car myself if i buy the programs n equipment off the net cause iv seen them for sale or is it very risky?

I've remapped my car myself using R-Tech's Aliengate system and their map files.
Very easy takes 3 mins to upload a map and cheaper than the equivalent from chipped uk
Same as what Rich posted  :smiley:

there are leads and software available if you look hard enough but equally you need to know what you're doing - change the wrong byte and kiss goodbye to your engine

stick with people like R-Tech - their maps are proven - just look at the feedback they get back from us guys  :smiley:

For the sake of £150, take it to R-Tech who know what they're doing (or see how much they'd charge to come to you - They're only in Leicester).  ;)
