Title: Monza 18in Snow Chains
Post by: Simon Jackson on 12 January 2009, 10:47
Driving to France in Feb.
Any suggestions for snow chains?
Am concerned that the alloys will get mullered with regular ones & concerned re clearance.
Snow socks any good?
Cheers.

Not something I would advise, I did similar years ago in a renault 19 sport...it was only the last few miles into Couchevel 1850, and whilst not great alloys or car they took a right beating....buy some cheap reps or second hand wheels for the trip then sell when get back maybe? Alternatively take a mates car lol ;-)

Low profile rubber and snow chains do not make a good combination. Steel wheels and winter rubber are what you need.
