I got some all metal polysh from meguiars for my monza rims as i cleaned my car, i applied it to the rims and it made them super shine plus have a nice smell..
anyway after comming back from work last night i had a quick look over the car and noticed the rims were totally covered in general road dirt that you would expect from driving on the motorway, i went to wipe it clean and noticed it was a very hard coat over the rims?
it was like the rims attracted more dirt than usual if you understand what im saying?
i also applied it to the exhaust and that to when i rubbed it clean had a hard surface on it?
is this normal? they did look really bad covered in more dirt than without applying anything?
i myself think i put on to much as it does say to apply a small amount, plus it is very cold so it dried quickly aswell...
i think next time i will try poorboys, only reason i didnt is because i couldnt find it in any shops around here

Hi There,
You probably want to be a bit creful using metal polish on the rims, they will have a laquer on them that it could damge as it is quite abrassive, it will be fine on the exhaust as its stainless steel but im my opinion not a good shout on the wheels,

i think you should be waxing them not polishing them as said above that polish is for bare metals.
see here for the best ones to buy
