Title: Water in headlight
Post by: TheRaven on 08 January 2009, 09:58
Hey guys,
When it rains I get a puddle of water in my headlight and its making it dull and yellowy.
Any ideas where this could be leaking in from and how I could stop it?

Take the glass off, clean it out and seal it back on.

Old seal behind the glass will be letting the water in

Also check the rubber real where the connectors goes on the back, doubtful but you never know.

Glass could also be cracked. Better get it fixed soon before the water hits your bulbs and kills them.

I sealed mine with a silicone sealant around the area where the glass meets the reflector. Seems to have stopped the condensation in them.

They all let in water/condensation. If it's more than condensation then i would bin them and buy replacements rather than try and fix them.
You need to go crystal anyway, will bring your car much more up to date.
