And maybe they are right    - whats that hiding in the garage?

A surprise addition to the family - the money was meant to be saved until I got a contract extension confirmation in Feb and then promptly spent on Ed30 mods...     Could resist this near concours Mk2 GTI 16V with 73k miles when it came up on Autotrader for £4250.  I drove my wife's sold Lupo GTI to work in Hook (south of Reading) from Ipswich, then drove the Lupo GTI to Lincoln to drop it off to its new owners, took a train to Durham (didn't realise how far north it was when I went past York ) and drove the Mk2 back to Ipswich.

Its got steelies on for the winter, but it came with a set of new BBS RAs with tyres

nice Mk2, but i dont tink i would be spendin four and half grand on one, can appreciate its concours and all but as soon as i got me mitts on it it would be worth half the value, are you showing it? is that why the investment?

Nope - no plans to show it.  With the Mk2 you generally get what you pay for and having had a dog of a Mk2 16v before, I had no intention on going down that path again! I could easily sell it for circa £4k if I wanted to, but hopefully that won't happen.

My bank manager is also amazed at the cash that constantly comes into my account and then disappears just as promptly and regularly as it arrives

She drives the R32... no one in the family is getting near the Ed30 now - not that they'd want to after I replaced the resonated Milltek with non-res

Holy hell how I was wrong!

LOL!

Atleast with 4WD it will be harder for her to spin out. Especially if she's anything like my sister.

I thought it would be safer for her to have the car with 4wd, better brakes and 5-doors
