Just thought i'd introduce myself and also hope i can get this question answered.
I'm looking at getting a mk4 GTI and ive been playing around getting quotes from different insurers but they seem to be a bit on the pricey side, cheapest i got so far being about £1750 - i'll add that im 19 with 2 years no claims. Is this the going rate for insurance for someone my age or can i get it any cheaper?
Just thought i'd add im currently driving a fiesta and now need a proper car, i think the GTI fits the bill quite well  i would put up a pic but i dont know how to upload a pic from a file on here

seems a bit pricey to me considering i can insure a mk2 golf gti 8v for 1500 and im 18 with 1 year no claims. I found admiral and bell the cheapest. Post this post in the insurance question hopefully you will get some pointers in there

Will the car have any mods or will it be std?
Try Sky Insurance, or Adrian Flux?
I paid £541 for mine (modded), but I'm over 25
