so the reason the mk3 8v has no torque steer is because it has trick new suspension is it? not because of its tortoise like acceleration then

i have 2 pet tortoises and for your information they are actually pretty quick when you dangle a lettuce leaf infront of them. . . . much faster than a 8v mk3 anyway
-
Blimey that does take me back
Cambelt change at 60k, that means my first cambelt change will be due within the next thousand miles (59k original).
I'd best get saving then......
Feel old now
-
ive of probably changed the cambelt 4 times by now even if its not hit 60k lol.
on my abf its something like 60k or every 5 years.
good video though enjoyed that, and then watched some integrale videos on there

Do you still read the Beano then?
Did you know.........? that Quentin Wilson, with his wise words of advice about buying used cars and what to look out for and how to tell whether a car had been clocked or not, once got prosecuted for.........................................
clocking a car! Strange, but true. (Allegedly)
-
when this thread got started i went looking for that but thought i was wrong
cos i didn't find anything
i thought it was nicking cars he was done for ???
that would explain how he knows how to spot a bent one or a nicked one

i think we are going off subject here. i was just trying to convey the point tortoises arent as slow as everyone makes out. they get alot of bad press

wrong

Slow as a MK3 8v.. 0-60 MK3 8v = 10.1 seconds | 0-60 + MK2 8v = 8.x seconds | 0-60 + MK4 1.8T = 10.3 seconds... and then there's the power / weight ratio....
I think we know who the winner is

0-60 for a 1.8T Mk4 is about 8 seconds dead. The 10 second stat is for the non-turbo.
