Title: R32 rear bumper for Gti!
Post by: neo66 on 02 January 2009, 20:35
Does anyone know how much it is for the genuine lower half R32 rear bumper from VW?
I know it can be an ebay jobby but I'd rather it brand new.
Cheers.

I think it's roughly €600. That's how much they are looking for the OEM Vortex rear bumper anyway. An OEM R32 bumper can't be far off that.

Im sure its actually alot cheaper than 600 euros, closer to £200 if i remember correctly.  The ed30 bumper is around £400 inc vat although i managed to get mine for £90

Could be closer to £200 or £300 now since I asked close to a year ago when prices were silly high and the pound was worth way more than the euro.

I think that may be for a mk4, however there is one on the bay....how did Red Robin deal with the inserts given the fact he, like me, has milltek quads?

When you consider the costs of paint etc on top it does become a fair amount for a cosmetic mod

That said I would love it on mine!!! Maybe I can find one already painted in red somewhere

£145.20 for the rear half lower bumper
£77.21 for the lower part insert where the exhausts go through.
£4.00 per reflector.

Not bad imo. Better than the prices I get form Irish dealers

BTW if you want the Carbon Fibre insert from the TT shop to go with the milltek quads it will set you back £429.99! (inc vat) I have just checked, got an email from TTSHOP Vince Hickman.......I just thought I would add this information for later reference for any user thinking of this upgrade.

So by my reckoning for me I need £145.20 + £429.99 + £8 for reflectors + £150 for paint = £733.19.

Think i would be cheaper just buying an R32, given the recent slump in prices

ok ta, just stick with the £77 standard part.
Would of liked the R32 but couldn't afford one when I got mine. Can't wait to see if they do a new spec of the R32.

^^^^
And also the oem R32 rear valence has cut-outs which allow any configuration of exhaust pipes.

Btw, my OSIR exhaust trim was not so expensive when I bought mine! OSIR make trims for several configurations AFAIK.

I suppose you want to see a pic ..........

it does look bloody good though Red  and a big improvement on the quads with the abt like mine....

....

I think you know that mine used to have the Abt rear like yours - It was all that was available for quads back in 2005, and I had been offered a good deal on the Milltek quads. I've still got my Abt rear.
