Hi guys,
Sorry guys i know it aint no MK5 BUT JESUSSSSSSSSS....The price of these babies are dropping like a stone..
2008 4500 miles NICE SPEC £21995 on VW website!!!!!!!
Go in with cash in another couple of months and i reckon under 20K no problems..
Nice machine i reckon, let them take a little bit more of a hiton the deprication and you can get a hell of a car.
-
Do you think......
I could go in there, spend 2hours haggling for a good price. Strike a deal with my car as part-ex, subject to a couple of days test drive.
THEN...
Take it home rip out the 3.6, swap it with the 3.2, and take it back and hope they dont notice

i dont want my wife seeing that chrissy, shes never forgiven me for selling my 07 passat 170 dsg!. She'd have one in a blink of a eye
-
Me thinks someone on here should take one out.... Phil you and the miss,s??
Wonder if they sound as good as a R32? Wont hold there value as well but i bet they are nice in the flesh.

i have heard one of them on idle, and by god they have the lowest tone exhaust note ive heard from a V6. Made my knee's knock put it this way. Id have one no question except i couldnt live the its thirst for Unleaded..
Awesome Car and an the Estate Version in Blue would be my choice

One serious lot of motor for the money that is, not good if you own one though.
-
  how much? luvly motor, gona sting the current owners like Stu said! ouch!
-
True sleeper as well...Only those in "the know" would "know" what it is!!!
-
A lot of car for the money...
...but
having come from a Passat W8 4-motion to the Golf GTi (and now R32), IMHO the Passat is just no fun to drive :undecided:
Feels and handles much heavier, and can't be "chucked around" like a Golf
No one wanted to buy the Passat W8 either when I came to sell :embarassed: not even my local VW garage as a part ex ! I got a lot less in the end than a same year Golf Gti or R32.
-
Intresting tool...W8 passat!!! only ever seen one of them. I know what your saying but i wonder if any one has test drove a R36?? they might not be as bad as you think. I think VW know they have dropped a bit of a clanger with this one like, bad timing with the alleged credit crunch etc, BUT i reckon maybe give it another year to lose the rest of what its going to depriciate and you,ll get a cracking car. low mileage etc as it seems at the minute no one wants one
AND
dont forget petrol cheapest itsbeen fo 4 years .

I drove one for a couple of days and did a couple of hundred miles. I have to say I LOVED it and would have been tempted except it was £32K with the options on it!
It was fast, smooth, comfy, sounded good and returned 26mpg IIRC.
The problem with cars like these, though, is that they are too smooth and anything under 100mph feels like nothing, so your only fun is booting it off roundabouts.
