Title: Which golf's have been used in motorsport?

Just remembered this... which of our cars have been used in motorsport?

I say this, because I now know that the MK3 16v was used as a rally car. (according to some vw brochures i got from ebay).

I don't know at what level, or what kind of success it had.


What other models were used, and in what forms?

doh!

the rally was involved in rallying wasnt it?
or nearly not, something to do with engine size? ???

it was something to do with the restrictor in the engine that made it uncompetive afaik

Does anyone remember the awesome RS200. That was unbelievable. Yes I know its not German, but it sure set new standards.

ah the ford rs 200......... the rest of them ford built got sold of to the public........

how many are still exsisting i dont know.......

i have a metro 6r4 video with the rs200 a audi quatro
and a metro 6r4 racing after them...... absolutely brillant............

did you know the audi quattro was supercharged and turbocharged!!!!!
