Post by: Justins145bhpMK1 on 15 June 2004, 17:07
Hello just picked up a MK2 on an H and am going through the process of restoring it now my MK1 has gone...

Its had a slight shunt at the back and the bumper is slightly bent in . As its plastic Im not sure if its possible to pull it out??

Anyone got any ideas??

Oh and im mising a mirror adjuster knob and a parcel shelf support if anyone has one.

back rear bumpers are relatively cheap,

if your restoring it id reccomend that you buy a new one,

there only about 50 quid

 ;)

Hi, Take off the bumper, by undoing the four bolts underneath. Then take off the plastic from the metal bracket, should then be a simple case of pushing it out. Then clip it back on to the metal, and attach bumper back on.

might be worth heating it slightly from the inside with a heat gun, then pushing it out ;)
