Hi Got 1997 Vr6 is there any way to connect a laptop to the car to diagnose a ABS fault code from the cars computer thanks

yes there is, but you need a VAG-COM cable and software.

there is a OBD-II diagnostics socket in a hidden panel next to the ashtray (you have to remove the tray to get at it)

not sure where the best place is, its a lil pricey.  try ebay?

if you have a friendly local vw specialist they may do it for free or little charge.

It cost me about ?40 all in. I bought it via Ebay, but a mate of mine got one through their websire. Drop them a mail Im sure they will ship you one.
