I've got the ESP warning light and Tyre pressure warning light illuminated on the dash at the same time, the ESP switch in front of the gearstick is mon-responsive and is stuck in the off position, as is the tyre pressure re-set switch.
I've tried re-setting everything, and searched for answers on the net but thrown up a blank!
Any ideas what it could be? initial thoughts were maybe a wheel speed sensor?

know anyone with a VAG-COM? is there an error code that comes up when you start the car?
-
No not local to me.
If anyone has got VAG COM in the Warrington area, I could sort you out with a few tinnies for your troubles!!
-
Why not try any other mk5 forum's that might be worth posting there also? :lipsrsealed:

If you can make it to Stockport I'll scan it for you.

D'oh! I've just come though Stockport about 2 hours ago, in fact it happened in that area whilst on the M60! Thanks for the offer, I may take you up on it.

it could be a fooked wheel sensor

I was thinkin that, and would put my money on it, because the traction control, tyre sensor and ABS all work from the same sensor so it would add up. You just need VAG-com to tell you which one it is. I had this on my old shape S3, they were cheap at about 20quid and easy enough to change
-
Cheers for all the info guys, lets just hope its a wheel sensor with it being out of warranty!
-
I think it will be, the buttons are probably unresponsive because the systems are effectively not working

Hi mate,
I am in Warrington until the 5th if you need vag-com, I can check error codes and clear them, and some other basic stuff, but not an advanced user. No trouble  PM me if you need it

Well the fault seems to of cleared itself today, but i think I'll still get it scanned to see if any faults have been saved. PM on its way.

Bit of an odd one that eh. Lets hope it was just an intermittant glitch.
