will it comprimise performance?
-
Wouldn't have thought so, but it will compromise your next MOT I imagine ;)
-
gasses are escaping from a place that it is not intended
so yeh, it does comprimise performance ;)
-
Means you might have a dodgy start on cold mornings. Won't effect it greatly, but still have some
-
i'd say it will slow you and it down....lol

-
Ooh Ooh I do!! How the feck can I sort it? :)
-
yeah i have to but i have no blowing exhaust had it checked
::) ???
-
i have a daft noise on mine it been there ever since i had a new downpipe......... must be cheapo made.
-
Is the noise your talking about that jingling noise in the exhaust tone? ???
It was driving me mad, so I picked up a second hand down pipe, fitted it, switched it on and the noise was still there!!!!!!!!! Later found out when I was setting up the ignition timing that the noise comes out when your adjusting the distributor!! The exhaust has a great deep tone coming from it now!!!!! ;D
-
is what it is is unburnt fuel geting into the exhaust manifold/downpipe and igniting, this can also produce a pop on change down. get a strobe gun and set your timing up static and it will mostly stop. mine has gone almost altogether.
oh yeah and paste up all the joints in your exhaust

oh yeah and paste up all the joints in your exhaust
if you do the job properly no paste should be required
