Title: Front drivers side corner rattle.

Has anyone had a very anoying rattle that comes from the front, either from the dash or the pillar where the air bag is?
I thought it may be the window shaking when its closed up but thats not the case.
Please help!

I noticed one the other day and it was the visor - I hadn't put it back in properly.

what year is your gti? the older ones had an issue with the seatbelt where it 'knocked' against the pillar (plastic against plastic), the newer models have some material on the back to prevent this.  :smiley:

ita a 57 reg. its just infront of me somewhere, worried it may be the airbag looms!? (which i dont wana touch.) Did mention this to the dealer but they couldn't find it! May have to take one of the technicians out in it and show them!

the centre console is a classic for rattling and creaking, could be that?

no idea then mate, youll have to get someone to drive your car so you are free to investigate where its coming from.  :smiley:

Rather than retype it all again, I reckon you should definitely read my posts in this thread - I had a bad rattle in the same area you describe, solution is detailed here:

I've given this "fix" to at least 3 GTI owners at this stage and its worked for them all!
