Title: mk3 upgrading!

im after some speakers to upgrade the originals in my mk3, i want them to be able to bolt straight in and for my gf to be none the wiser!!! haha!!

any ideas what to look out for and prices?

17cm/6.5 inch components pretty much anything will fit straight in

Check out any of the ICE websites! This forum has a hook up with Caraudiodirect for free delivery!

But Infinity's are good as well as JBL or Alpine. Whatever really that suits your budget.

I used to use Infinity but find them a bit bright and harsh.  Now have Rainbow comps in my Mk3 doors. Sound the business...

theres no way jbl's and original grilles will fit!! (Mine are jbl p-series.....and there not very flush fitting speakers!!). oh and infinity far out perform jbl's (there the same company..jbl is the more budget range)

wel i av jbl gto626e at front i had 2 bend the sides of speakers with a plier n the original grll fits perfect n the rears r sum jbl comp speakers with tweeters n a crossover. fitted fine in mine jus need bit of imagination n its all gd  :grin:
