My car came back from the welders with a new ventilation hole . I have been told its a grommet hole - you can see the top of it in the bottom left hand side under the hole. Now why is it there? and how can i fill the fecker so as i dont have a flintstones car( think about it ) any advice much appreciated.

The two mk2's i've had have both had this, either bung it with a rubber bung or weld a plate over it and then under seal it.

that should be a round hole

only way you can cure that will be as stated, a plate welded in and a good rust proof then underseal
