Title: Mk4 1.8 t conversion
Post by: EsSeX dAn on 16 December 2008, 17:27
Hi all, ive just bought a mk4 to tear apart and use the juicy bits in my lil Mk2,i know the basics about it (the electrics, engine mounts) but am still a bit confused about some bits.with the enegine mounts i know you use G60 mounts, but the mount points on the engine and box seem to be different posistions than the Mk2 box and engine so what brackets do i use to connect from mount to engine? and that pretty much it really.help appreciated!

easy way is

bolt mk2 rear engine mout to 20vt lump,  remove mk4 pendulum mount.
bolt 20vt to o2a gearbox.  use frount and gearbox mount brackets from any golf passat with an 02a

bolt g60 rear engine mount to subframe,  1.3  frount and gearbox mounts.

obtain bolt seat tolado 16v clutch actuator to gearbox and obtain seat tolado 16v clutch cable
