Title: Urgent cabriolet help required
Post by: VWnut on 12 June 2004, 13:17
Hi guys,
I need some help urgently. My 1988 1.8 gti cabriolet has developed a leak in the fuel system. I have traced the leak to a unit that sits directly above the fuel pump. It has 3 pipes attached to it (maybe more?). I can find reference to this in a VW manual that i have but it doesn't specify what the unit is for me to order another. Not all MK1 gti's have them, i checked a friends 1983 mk1 but his didn't have this unit????
Does anybody know what this unit is? One pipe that comes out of it goes directly to the fuel pump. I know that it isn't the pressure accumulator.
Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks
Tom

See if what you're looking for is here?

Site is in Russian but it is basically ETKA online! Maybe you can find out from here which part you need? Just need a bit of trial and error to find the right page!
