problem with pnumatic valves apparently and loosing too much air.

To fix it Ferrari apparently need to alter the design of the engine and as such need permission from FIA

However some rumors have emerged that they are using it as an excuse to try and get there engine on a parr with merc.

If they do get permission that would open up a whole new can of worms. I'm not sure they should be allowed to change the design. They should have designed it better in the first place.

Renault were allowed to change for reliabilty issues.

The rumours circulating are that Ferrari are going to use that as an excuse. How FIA go about regulating how they are able to make such mods i dont know.

As a member of Ferraris haters club! i would have to admit it would be harsh to deny the request. They have already allowed virgin to alter the chasse. Its just how they go about regulating the change so it is just what they said they were going to change and nothing else.
