Advice required with VAG COM fault Codes
« on: 16 April 2009, 13:12 »
Hi i own a Mk3 Golf GTI 8v (N reg),

I have just run VAG COM (Free Version) on my car and i apparently have the following faults :-

00285 - ABS Wheel Speed Signal #2 (Right Front)

00287 - ABS Wheel Speed Signal #3 (Right Rear)

00625 - Vehicle Speed Signal

01276 - ABS Hydraulic Pump - V64

Can anybody enlighten me as to what action needs to be taken to correct these faults and what the probable causes are ?

Thanks

hey buddy,

how did you get on? there's a wiki site with listings of all (most) fault codes and meanings...

Having the ABS dash light randomly appear on my vehicle (which is the same as the above) only yesterday, when I ran Vagcom it also brought up one of the same fault codes plus another one.

00287 - ABS Wheel Speed Signal #3 (Right Rear)   Is this a dodgy ABS sensor that needs changing??
00532 - Supply Voltage  (B+)  I haven't a foggiest what this is relation to!!

Can anyone shed any light on what i should do to cure these issues please?

Almost certain it's a dodgy sensor yea, not sure about the other though...

Hmm, well at least it doesn't sound serious and my car does seem to be running ok at the moment...
