But Alonso has been in F1 for about 9 years where as Hamilton has been in for only three years. Go figure.

hamilton is probably worth more as he wont screw his team over if things dont go his way

All he does is blow up engines or gearboxes....Some races he is untouchable and dominant (only when he has a good car) but most of the races and this whole past season he has been inconsistent and unreliable.

Why not??    And besides you stated Kimi had been inconsistent and unreliable yet surely the more consistent driver (crap car or not) scores more points over a season, which is what Kimi has done..........even Hamilton managed to score more points and his car for the first half of the season was useless!
