AGG crank sensor
« on: 24 October 2012, 13:53 »
Vaugely MK2 related. Where does the crank sensor on the AGG act on, is it the flywheel (like Fords) or something else attached to the crank?

If it's like the ABF then it bolts into the block and there is a trigger wheel on the end of the crank.
Just because you're offended doesn't make you right.

Thanks, I understand the sensor is the same part so that sounds like a fairly safe assumption.

trigger wheel is internal,  it is a 60 - 2 toothed wheel and it bolts onto the crank iself inside the engine.

looks like this,  piccy from an ABF  but cranck and trigger wheel are the same

all the VW's have gone bar 1.
