Cheers for the offer DH, however I fancy having a bash at stitching my wishbones. Dunno if I can get access to a suitable press for the bushes though.

'net connection keeps dropping

Defo considering wide track with 4x100 but if I wanted to run 288 discs I'd need to go 5x100?

I have a larger master cylinder 23/24mm kicking about will have a look at it and see whats what.

is stitching the wishbones a good idea on a road car? thats your crumple zone if you smack a wheel!

I imagine the trick would be not to smack a wheel?

Fair point, but if you're smacking a wheel hard enough to crumple a wishbone, chances are the rest of the car isn't going to look too clever either.

I reckon I'm going to give the welded wishbone a go, can always change them back worst case.

Basically any excuse to get the welder out

golf 2 wishbones do bend rather to easy,  the passat wishbones are much tougher  so a littel welding isnt going to hurt
all the VW's have gone bar 1.
