mk2 brake upgrade advice please 288mm 4 stud discs?

i have got mk2 16v hubs running girling 54 calipers and would like to know what i need to do to get them to run 288mm discs and what 288mm discs are 4 stud thanks.

I think you're thinking of the 280mm brakes. As far as I'm aware the 5-stud 288 brakes are only available in 5-stud flavour.
To go to 280mm you just need the caliper carriers, rotors and pads, bish bosh, off you go.

you chould get 4 stud 288's but it would cost as there not an off the shelf part in the correct bell for anything. so unless you want to get involved with the horrible game of buying blank disks, haveing them drilled then sticking spacers behind them your choices are 280mm or 305mm

looks like its the 280mm then what calipers would be best to run i have some girling 54s but have seen some twin pots on e bay?

std callipers fine. if there not enugh sod the slideing twin pots and get ali 4 pots

slideing twin pots are heavy and don't have a bigger pad singel pots can lock most most tyers up quite easaly unless the there serious tyers or the pads are made of cheese.
the ali 4 pots can be vag.... ish porsche or seat brembos
