Possibly *the* best upgrade over the mk7
« on: 06 October 2021, 21:12 »
Never mind the power, the handling, the big brakes, the excellent UI  and those errr, striking looks

Possibly the best upgrade over the 7/7.5 has got to be the blind spot flashing side mirror lights.
Trouble is they can be set off by long grass in the central reservation and I keep half expecting a hare to go tearing past me when I’m in that lane with the ghost flashes from my offside mirror housing.

Agreed, incredibly useful. Don’t like driving a car without now

Having been hit in a previous car of mine by a car pulling out of a slip road because I was in his blind spot I think it is a great bit of kit. Wish I had it on my 7.5.😪
Mk6 GTI Carbon Grey, 2010 Bluetooth and voice fitted, a few VCDS mods still a comfortable family car. Red Scirocco 2011 twin charger stage 1 - enjoyable drive now gone.  White 2016 Polo GTI (roller skate on steroids) replaced with an Indium Grey 2019 7.5 GTI PP.

Yes, exactly- it’s a great bit of kit…. for other people to have.

I like the fact the lights are on the inside of the mirror too although having said that when you see it flash up on someone else's car on the actual mirror glass it makes me realise I'm in their blind spot and move accordingly.

It is very handy I must admit.

The IQ headlights are definitely an upgrade to they are phenomenal
